Under Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019 and GDPR (where applicable), you have the right to request deletion of your personal data held by Selam Ride Uganda.

Scope of Data Deletion

Upon a verified request, we will delete:

Your account profile (name, phone, email, photo)
Saved addresses and preferences
Marketing data and communication preferences
Device identifiers and push notification tokens

Data We May Retain

The following data may be retained despite deletion requests, as required by Ugandan law:

Financial transaction records — required for tax compliance (7 years)
Safety and incident records — as required by law
Data subject to active legal proceedings
Anonymised aggregate data not attributable to you

How to Submit a Request

Email info.selamrideuganda@gmail.com with subject "Data Deletion Request"
Include your registered phone number and full name
Attach a copy of your national ID for identity verification
Specify whether you want full account deletion or partial data removal

Processing Timeline

We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. We may contact you for additional verification if needed.

Facebook Data Deletion

If you used "Login with Facebook" (if applicable), you may also submit a data deletion request through Facebook's settings or directly at this page. We will delete all Facebook-linked data within 30 days.
