Merchant Partner Terms
These Merchant Partner Terms govern the relationship between your business ("Merchant") and Selam Ride Uganda. By listing your business on our platform, you agree to these terms.
1. Merchant Registration
To list on Selam Ride, merchants must provide accurate business information, a valid TIN number, proof of business registration, and comply with all applicable Ugandan laws including food safety regulations where applicable.
2. Commission and Payouts
Selam Ride retains a 15% commission on all orders processed through our platform. Payouts are made weekly to your registered Mobile Money number or bank account, net of commission.
3. Merchant Obligations
- Maintain accurate product listings, pricing, and availability
- Prepare orders promptly within your stated preparation times
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards (for food merchants)
- Handle customer complaints relating to product quality
- Update your menu/catalogue when items are unavailable
- Provide accurate business hours and contact information
4. Order Fulfilment
Merchants are responsible for the quality and completeness of every order. Delivery is handled by Selam Ride couriers. Merchants must have orders ready for pickup within the stated preparation time.
5. Refunds and Returns
Merchants bear responsibility for refunds caused by incorrect, missing, or substandard products. Where a refund is issued to a customer due to merchant error, the refund amount is deducted from the merchant's next payout.
6. Ratings and Reviews
Customer ratings and reviews of merchants are displayed publicly on our platform. Merchants may not solicit fake reviews or offer incentives for positive ratings.
7. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement with 14 days written notice. Selam Ride may immediately remove a merchant for fraud, sustained poor ratings, safety violations, or breach of these terms.
