Passenger Terms
These Passenger Terms apply specifically to individuals using Selam Ride as riders or passengers. They supplement our general Terms and Conditions.
1. Ride Booking
When you book a ride, you are requesting transportation from an independent driver-partner. The contract for transportation is between you and the driver. Selam Ride facilitates the booking and payment but is not a party to the transportation contract.
2. Fare Acceptance
By confirming a booking, you accept the fare estimate displayed. Final fares may differ slightly due to route changes, waiting time, or traffic conditions. You will always see the final fare in the app.
3. Passenger Responsibility
- Be at your pickup location when the driver arrives
- Do not leave luggage or personal items in the vehicle
- Do not eat or drink without the driver's permission
- Wear a seatbelt at all times
- You are responsible for any damage to the vehicle caused by you
4. Payment
Pay the agreed fare using the payment method selected in the app. Do not pressure drivers to accept unconfirmed payment methods or amounts different from what the app shows.
5. Lost Property
If you leave items in a vehicle, contact the driver directly through the app or contact our support team. Selam Ride is not responsible for lost items but will assist in facilitating recovery.
6. Rating Drivers
Rate your trip honestly based on the actual experience. Your ratings directly impact driver earnings and platform quality. Abuse of the rating system will result in account suspension.
7. Complaints
Submit complaints within 24 hours of a trip via the app or at info.selamrideuganda@gmail.com.
